Yes. OpenSits is free to use, with no subscription or membership fee. Create an account to find care for your pets, discover places to sit, or both.
How does identity verification work?
Identity verification is optional. Our verification partner checks your photo ID, performs a liveness check and matches your selfie to your ID. Once approved, your profile displays an Identity verified badge.
What is the exchange?
Hosts offer a place to stay while they’re away. In return, sitters care for their pets and home. You talk through routines and expectations together before agreeing to a sit.
Can I be both a host and a sitter?
Absolutely. One account lets you share a sit when your pets need company and explore places to stay when you’re ready for an adventure.
How do I know a sit is confirmed?
The host invites their chosen sitter, and the sitter confirms the invitation. Exact arrival and care details are shared with the confirmed sitter after you both agree.
